I think @VitalikButerin 's cryptographic computer thing is receiving the wrong emphasis...a lot of people cottoned onto the offchain computation/onchain proof bits as perhaps that seemed the most novel, and I started to get worried we are veering into the L2 mistake again of wanting Ethereum to just be this sort of cucked proof layer for systems where others capture almost all value. . . . . . .but, if you read it, the core of the vision remains creating the best possible onchain smart contract system including the only one that actually prohibits validators from arbitrarily censoring transactions (vs. "libertarian miner" philosophy from Bitcoin) and can offer privacy protocols with no intermediaries (eliminating the relayer role). . .the offchain compute stuff is a nice sort of "blue sky" concept that may pay off big if the agentic economy goes a certain way, but onchain, on mainnet, and making ETH great computational money rightly remains the focus. . .
